Rental Policy

Adults only. Guests must be at least 25 years of age.

DEPOSIT:  A deposit in the amount of (50%) is required at the time reservation is made.  This deposit shall be used to reserve the use of the Property for the Term and the Guest’s obligation under this Agreement.  Reservation deposit is due upon signing this Agreement.  No reservation is effective until receipt of final payment.  30 days prior to check-in the final payment balance of the Guest Fee is due.

CANCELLATION:  If at any time, the Guest cancels this Agreement, the Reservation Deposit and Final Payment (if received) will be forfeited unless the Property is able to be re-rented under the same terms and conditions of this Agreement for the full Term reserved.  If the Property is re-rented under the same terms and conditions as this Agreement all deposits and payments will be refunded less a $150 cancellation fee.  All cancellations must be made in writing and delivered to Swan View Inn via mail, email or fax.

  1. Failure to pay the Final Payment when due will be considered a cancellation under this subparagraph.

  2. No refunds or discounts are given for late arrival or early departure.

  3. No refund is due (or will be made) for inclement weather.

 

PAYMENTS:  Fees may be made by check payable to Swan View Inn, VISA, M/C, DISCOVER or AMERICAN EXPRESS. Checks returned by the bank for any reason will be charged a $50 fee and possible cancellation of reservation. 

 

SMOKING:  Smoking is prohibited inside the Property.  Smoking is permitted on the outside of the Property.  Guest is responsible for ensuring that smoking products, if used, are properly extinguished and product remains are properly disposed of in provided containers and not left on the ground.

 

NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS:  No more than 3 persons may occupy the rented unit.  Rental includes designated parking for 1 car and 1 boat trailer.  Additional parking if needed is available in the front of the building. Please do not park on the grass.  Swan View Inn has the option to terminate this Agreement or Increase the Guest Fee at our discretion for the entire term of occupancy if there is evidence indicating one or more additional persons are occupying the Property or using outside facilities including parking, boat slips etc.

 

HOUSEKEEPING:  Fresh towels will be provided twice for weekly rentals.  The cleaning rate for your rental is based on an average time taken to complete a general cleaning which is included in your weekend or weekly rental fee.  In order to insure that the costs of cleaning are kept to a minimum, we ask that you please:  1.  Wash dishes. 2. Close all windows. 3.  Turn off air conditioner. 4. Turn off lights.  5.  Ovens – Please clean excessive spills.      6.  Refrigerator – Please clean spills or messes inside refrigerator and freezer. Failure to do so may result in “additional cleaning charges” billed at $25 per hour.

 

OPTIONAL HOUSEKEEPING:  Daily housekeeping is not provided with your rental.  For a fee of $20/day sheets will be changed, floors vacuumed and towels replaced. 

 

PETS:  No pets are allowed.  If you need to board your dog a nearby pet day/kennel care can be recommended. 

 

FISH AND WATERFOWL CLEANING: Indoor fish and waterfowl cleaning is prohibited.  Please use our outdoor station to clean your catch.

 

TV/Wi-Fi/TELEPHONE:  Basic TV and Wi-Fi is included in each room. Swan View Inn rooms do not contain phones.

 

QUIET HOURS:  Quiet hours begin at 11 P.M.

MAINTENANCE OF PROPERTY:  The Guest shall keep and maintain the Property in a clean and sanitary condition at all times, and upon termination of the occupancy term, the Guest shall leave the Property in as good a condition as when received, ordinary wear and tear is expected.

 

DAMAGES:  The Guest shall be responsible for any damages or alterations caused by the Guest’s negligence and that of any occupant or visitor.  Should any damages or alterations be noted upon inspection after Guest’s departure, Guest agrees to a service charge of $50 plus the cost of repair will be billed to the Guest’s credit card.

 

REPAIRS:  Upon discovering an item needing repair, please notify Swan View Inn during business hours or, if an emergency, immediately.  All repairs will be made as soon as possible.  Swan View Inn is not responsible for compensation of any part of the Guest fee due to failure of fixtures or appliance resulting in short term inconveniences.
